UF Email Alert

The Urgent Finding Email may be configured by Administrators.

  • Navigate to the SynComm landing page
  • Select the Admin tab
  • Locate Urgent Findings and select the Urgent Findings Configuration link
  • Select the Email Alert tab

The body of the Email should be typed in the Email Text area. Using the variables in the section below will allow details specific to the urgent finding to be included in the email. Copy and paste the variables to be included in the email into the Email Text area.

The Web Site Address should contain the URL of the RIS (SSL address may also be stored here).

The Sender Email Address will be displayed to the recepient as the sender. This field does not have to contain a valid address. For example: noreply@synapse.com.

Additionally, in order for Emails to be distributed from SynComm, SMTP will need to be configured on the PACS server.

If Urgent Findings distribution will be utilized, populate the following field(s) in the User List, as appropriate:

  • Pager field is used to distribute SMS messages
  • Phone field is used to distribute Voice messages
  • Email field is used to distribute email messages

Note: Currently, only users with a user account in SWAT may receive Urgent Finding distribution.
