This is a major update and initial client release for 3.2.

New to Synapse Communications with version 3.2.4 is Pulse. Pulse provides the communication tools outside of the traditional Synapse PACS PowerJacket. With Pulse, users have contextual awareness to the active image viewer without losing visibility of enterprise workflows. It’s a one-stop, communication power house, designed to keep users focused on clinical processes, not clerical.

  • Indicators on the Pulse tabs make users aware when there are studies which need attention, for prompt turn-around and escalation.
  • Users may follow patients for quick recall to respond to ordering providers.
  • Chat offers users the option to share the current image link for ease of access.
  • Single-click access to launch many Synapse PACS functions, such as images, reports, documents, and notes.

The following major new features were added:

3609 For the Current Study tab, when a Peer Review has been performed on a study, an indicator to notify users that a review was performed was added.
3341 For Pulse, the Patients tab was created to provide a list of all patients being followed by the user, with quick access to each patient’s full exam history in Synapse PACS. An indicator on the tab displays the number of patients the user is currently following.
3329 A Tasks page was added for Pulse.
3463 On the Tasks page, users are allowed to edit a task they created.
3649 On the Tasks page, the "Assign To" list reflects only users who have permission to complete a task.
3342 For Pulse, the Urgent Findings tab was created as part of the Findings tab, which displays studies that require escalation and action or closure and combines ED Findings and Urgent Findings. The Urgent Findings count is displayed as the second number in the tab indicator, displaying the number of open findings the user is currently following.
3349 The ability to store conversational notes was added.
3502 A Chat tool was added to Pulse.
3875 An option to disable the Chat feature was added.
3689 IM launch for Ordering Physicians and Staff from the Pulse pages was added.
3653 A button in Chat to insert image URLs was added.
3611 The ability to hover over the Ordering Physician's name on the various tabs was created to display the user's phone and pager info, if not blank.

3891 Privileges are grouped when assigned by SWAT user role.
3647 The concept of user roles was removed.
3654 Checks against user role was replaced by checks against privilege.
3605 For Peer Review Quotas, a privilege for 'Can be Peer Reviewed' was added.

In addition, the following items were fixed:

8657 Peer Review worklist would time-out when trying to load the user's queue when it was empty.
8736 Inactive users were being returned when requesting users by role.
8738 Urgent Findings Report was timing out.
8789 For the Settings page and Tasks Report, the pagination did not work when the default page size was changed.
8794 The 'Cancel' option was not being acknowledged when editing a Canned Response Note. Changes were being saved instead of canceled.
8855 A web page Error message would be received when creating a new canned response note and then canceling it.
8879 QA Notes could not be deleted from Pulse.
8880 The Pulse Tray App did not restart properly when settings are changed.
8908 The Peer Review Report contained a filtering issue.
8917 On the Pulse Settings page, columns indicated that they were sortable but were not. The clicking capability needed to be removed.
8936 For Pulse, the tool tips disappeared on all of the tabs after the icon was clicked one time.
8937 The Study Info and Patient Info pop-up dialogs broke if the Filter option was used on the Patient, Task, and Findings tabs.
8938 Task 'Due Date' and 'Assigned To' were not automatically updating when a task was edited.
8956 For the Current Study page, the Finding page was not automatically updating when a Finding was created and sent.
8961 Tasks were saved without completing a required field in the Question (check box).
8962 For QA Notes, the "Not" symbol was not displaying when editing a QA Note type.
8964 The Scroll bar was not working on the Task window.
8974 For Study Note and QA Note, the Create button did not change to Update when the Study Note or the QA Note were edited.
9011 For the Pulse Findings tab, Canned Notes drop-down list did not open.
9014 In Pulse, the User Privileges Cancel button was not working in the Edit Peer Review Quotas dialog.
9020 The Canned Notes drop-down lists were not working on the Finding and ED Finding pages.
9022 Performing a task changed the Tasks tab to Tasks NaN instead of displaying the correct count.
9023 The Create and Send buttons were not working on Add New Finding page.
9026 Information was truncated when the Contact Info box opened from Pulse.
9028 In Chat, when two chat sessions were active, one chat session closed when users switched to a different tab.
9029 The Contact list for Chat was not displaying names in alphabetical order.
9035 On the Pulse Findings tab, the Actions drop-down list was half-hidden in the right margin.
9077 Canned Notes were not added if they contained an apostrophe (').
9080 On the Pulse Findings tab, an improved indicator was required when users did not have the ED Findings Worklist privilege.
9087 There was a Server Error in the '/' Application error when a QA Note with no text in Note field was added.
9088 On the Pulse Current Study tab, Study Note required a validation to make the text required.
9111 There was a NULL Reference error when the user session ended.
9145 On the Pulse Tasks page, data loaded even if users did not have privileges.
9146 On the Pulse Findings page, data loaded even if users did not have privileges.
9185 There was a Finding-Receiving error when entering a name on the Create and Send, Communicate Findings page.
9189 On the Pulse Findings tab, the Add Study Note button was not working.
9221 On the Pulse Findings tab, the Filter is not refreshing after the "There is no data to display" message was displayed.
9228 For Pulse Tasks, users should not be able to enter a Due Date prior to the Current Date.
9229 The User Privilege list was pulling in SWAT Admin roles.
9236 Users with 'Can Add ED Finding' privileges were not able to add a new ED Finding.
9255 On the Pulse Settings page, the column header 'DateAdded' should be two words.
9256 The Task Report returned nothing.
9266 The Canned Notes drop-down lists should be disabled on Read-Only pages.
9298 For Pulse Tasks, when 'Claim This Task' was selected, auto-refresh cleared the Task page and stated that there was no data to display.
9668 The Peer Review Worklist was not calculating Quotas properly.
10277 Peer Reviews conducted from the Peer Review Worklist were being signed as the Default Option.
10338 The Pulse plugin for the PACS Tray App was not properly responding to status requests.
10388 The Peer Review Worklist was not repopulating.
10391 For the Peer Review Committee Review, the wrong name displayed when reviews were submitted.
10397 Peer Review questions answered by another user were not visible to the Committee Reviewer.
10398 In Pulse, ED Findings could not be added to a study that was in Sent status.
10417 On the Pulse Current Study Page, the Peer Review Quota was incorrect.
10628 An error displayed on the Pulse Current Study Page when the Peer Review Queue was empty.
